As a designer I believe in solving problems with intuitive, meaningful design. I’m motivated about creating products, experiences, and aesthetics that elevate our lives and communities.
——
My path into UX/UI began at a small startup, where I transitioned from data analytics and marketing into product design. I learned to conduct user research, created workflows and designs that helped define a new MVP product, and established a collaborative design system. Since then, I’ve worked with clients on UX projects varying from web, app, to branding experiences.
Drawing in skillsets from my prior background in communication design and data analysis, I bring a data-driven perspective into my design projects. I am always curious about why people make the decisions they do, and I find it exciting to design functional, thoughtful solutions that better serve our community.
When I’m not designing you may find me flexing my creative juices through printmaking & bookbinding, birdwatching, or taking things apart to figure out how they work!

WHAT’S IN A LOGO?
Every so often I get asked, “why is there a line next to the K in your logo?”
My design work draws inspiration from both western and eastern influences in my life. I designed my logo as a combination of my English and Chinese names to reflect this balance.
Taking the character in my name that stands for “the beginning” or “fundamental”, the logo communicates my design philosophy of how there is always more to learn and the importance of fundamentals in an ever changing design landscape!
